Kim Lenz, the Los Angeles-based rockabilly queen is back with her fourth studio album, Follow Me which continues the passionate driving sound that built her reputation. As one of the modern roots scene’s pre-eminent singer-songwriters, Follow Me takes Lenz’s music in a more intimate direction. On Follow Me, Lenz translates her life experiences into her most personal album to date. It represents an evolution and maturity in Lenz’s songwriting, while still remaining true to her signature roots sound. Lenz and her band The Jaguars recorded Follow Me in mono on vintage tube gear to two-inch tape, giving it the flavor Ms. Lenz is known for but, lyrically more modern. Follow Me was produced by an Americana Roots icon Carl Sonny Leyland and features performances by legendary Big Sandy guitarist Ashley Kingman. Lenz penned nine of the twelve tracks on Follow Me herself. The record is rounded out with two rollicking covers and a track written by Jaguar’s own guitarist Ramon Espinoza.
