This is the debut release of San Antonio’s SNOWBYRD. Formed around the core of brothers Chris (guitar and vocals) and Scott Lutz (pedal steel, guitars and keyboards), hard bashing drummer Manny Castillo and recent addition Mark Fleming of buzz band White Heat on bass. Unknown ‘til now, this foursome alchemize influences ranging the Move, Big Star, Mott the Hoople, Roxy Music and the Clash into the coolest thing to roll out of S.A. since the Sir Douglas Quintet. Great songs draped in a robe of pedal steel driven rock that encapsulates the best music of the past four and a half decades. Their unpredictable live shows have made them a favorite top-draw on the Texas club scene.
