Buddy, the evolving collection of Los Angeles-based musicians lead by a man named Buddy, returns with their sophomore release and with it a subtle transformation from cinematic, singer-songwriting, self-proclaimed "wimpy core" to "fully realized orchestral pop, both lush and evocative” (Kevin Bronson - Buzzbands LA). Last Call For The Quiet Life arrived after a healthy amount of soul-searching and scrapping of an initial follow-up to the bands 2007 release Alterations and Repairs, which brought the band much love from the Film and TV world, as well as support from music press and local tastemakers KCRW. Last Call For The Quiet Life teams Buddy and co-member and producer Will Golden together and includes guest vocals from Michelle Branch, Cary Brothers, Holly Conlan. The album was mixed by Phil Ek in Seattle.
