Over the years, David Greenberger has worked with a range of musical collaborators, including Terry Adams (of NRBQ), David Hidalgo & Louis Perez (of Los Lobos), 3 Leg Torso, Paul Cebar and Birdsongs of the Mesozoic. As they approached the tenth anniversary of their Mayor of the Tennesee River (written and debuted in performance in 2003, then recorded and released on CD two years later), David Greenberger and Shaking Ray Levi’s embarked on a new project after playing a festival together in 2011. Tramps That Go Think in the Night is the result and continues David’s monologues full of warmth and respect for old people set against a background provided by the four piece unit once again.
