Soul of a Free Man is filled with deep southern influences, "old school" R&B, and a the horn section of an old Motown record. Patrick Lamb went back to his roots in Mississippi to write and develop his new sound for Soul of a Free Man. This release features some upbeat R&B, soul of a southern back porch song, and the high energy of funk. Patrick co-wrote Soul of a Free Man, with long time friend Lee Garrett who co-penned such hits as "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," Isn't She Lovely," and more. Patrick Lamb has discovered his new musical voice with Soul of a Free Man.
