This album invites us on a beautiful journey through the different styles of the Oriental Dance. From the mystical entrance of the dancer with her veil, up to the climactic end, this work progresses through traditional Egyptian pieces, effervescent percussion solos and songs composed for the legendary Egyptian singer Oum Kalthoum. All the music has been arranged specially for dance and recorded by more than 20 of the finest musicians from the Cairo Arabic Music Ensemble.
