Supernaut, Burning Through The Motions

"Full contact rock". That’s how front man Scott Chapin describes Supernaut. A Portland, Oregon-based quartet that plays a brand of rock that could be described as Black Sabbath (hence their name) meets Ramones meets Cheap Trick; hard rocking, guitar-heavy, yet melodic and hook-laden. And it is in full-force on “Burning Through The Motions”, the band’s debut full-length, an eleven song collection of hard-knocks and fierce rhythms, burning guitars, raging vocals, melody, and sing-along hooks that soon find Supernaut the band on your mind – as the songs refuse to leave your head. If you thought modern rock was stale, lifeless, and without substance, Supernaut comes along with its "full contact rock" and Kos that notion with a few jabs, an upper cut, and a body blow that would floor even Joe Frazier.
