Original bassist for Weezer and co-author of such songs as "Undone (The Sweater Song)" and the majority of songs on Weezer's sophomore full-length, "Pinkerton", Matt Sharp left Weezer to focus on his own band, The Rentals. They released two records on Maverick/Warner Bros. and spawned the hits "Friends of P." and "Waiting" before disbanding after Sharp went into a self-imposed exile. Forcing himself out of his exile and back into music, along with former Cake guitarist Greg Brown, Sharp has recorded something as melodic and catchy as the songs he penned for Weezer and The Rentals. However, this time around, Sharp forgoes the Moog in favor of an acoustic guitar.
