"Dual Identity", the sparkling debut release from composer, keyboardist and trumpeter Larry Gittens and his band Media, is the true definition of "smooth jazz". After playing with Stevie Wonder's Wonderland band for 9 years, Gittens credits Wonder for giving him the support and encouragement to start out on his own. Larry is currently a member of Kool & The Gang's horn section and he has enlisted several polished, guest jazz musicians (Nasee, Lenny Castro, Michael Sembello & others) to play on "Dual Identity". This is a collection of mostly self-penned compositions that blend rhythmic grooves, R&B vocals and great musicianship into a solid smooth jazz experience from start to finish.
