ATHFEST 10 is a special 2-CD set celebrating the 10th anniversary of AthFest- the Athens Music & Arts Festival (Athens, GA) and features 36 bands from Athens, GA and over two hours of music including a very rare recording of "Wanderlust" by R.E.M. recorded live in the band's Athens rehearsal studio. ATHFEST 10 also features unreleased material from Patterson Hood (Drive-By Truckers), Don Chambers + GOAT, Randall Bramblett, Jack Logan, Vic Chesnutt and Kevn Kinney (Drivin' n' Cryin') that are exclusive to AthFest CDs. Plus rare recordings from Athens favorites such as Drive-By Truckers, The Glands, Japancakes, Jucifer, Elf Power, and a special posthumous release by Michael Houser (Widespread Panic). ATHFEST 10 is the 17th compilation of local and regional music produced by Athens-based Ghostmeat Records which was founded by AthFest CD producer Russ Hallauer in 1994.
